NOTES:
First Direct Arena, Leeds was opened in 2013 and holds around 12,500 for seated shows like this one.
The arena has a "super theatre" configuration with all seats facing the stage.

This is a very good audience recording from a big arena with a little bit of singalong.

 The Eagles -

Random Shows;
1977-2005

Shows from a trading friend MauroR.

Background on my friend. He is a longtime collector and taper of shows who has amassed a rather large collection on both tape and CD, in addition to the stuff that is digital. He has been kind enough to share parts of his collection with others including myself, with the idea of getting some of this stuff back out into the collecting world. Or in the case of all the recent Springsteen shows, to rebuild my collection in lossless format.

Some of what he has sent me is in untracked wav format, each track being the side of a tape or a CD. I wish I had the time and/or talent to actually split these shows the proper collecting way, and then convert them to flac before I shared them with you. I know there are some folks out there who are able to do so, and they have posted the finished product on Tradersden to great reviews. That is just not possible for me to do.

But I have access to this forum to spread them to the masses. My contribution, sometimes, is just attaching info files and artwork that I have found on the internet. But the volume he has been sending out during this pandemic has grown rather large and I don't have the time to go through all of them.

I am trying something with these posts. I have some Eagles shows that were sent to me recently. I do not know if anyone else has taken them through the full process of tracking, converting, etc. Or if there is a better copy out there already. Below is a link to those shows, with no work done to them, possibly not even setlist.

So far I have done: Paul McCartney, the Band, David Bowie, U-2, Van Morrison, CSNY, Springsteen, The Animals, Roger McGuinn, The Clash, Jefferson Airplane, Linda Ronstadt, Paul Simon, Pink Floyd, Tom Waits, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Fairport Convention, The Who, Jackson Browne, and Eric Clapton. You can search random show and the artist name to find the post. I will continue to add shows for each of the artists to their links as I get them ready, so check back from time to time to see if there is anything new.

These shows may not be for everybody. I don't have lineage, or even quality, but once in a while a rare show appears. Also, you are getting the show just as it was heard by the taper.

Feel free to do what you want with these show, master, remaster, track, or all the other things I don't know how to do...... please just dont sell them.

U2 play the Point Depot in Dublin on New Year’s Eve 1989. This was the last of four gigs in Dublin. The show was broadcast live on radio in Ireland by RTÉ and throughout Europe on BBC. RTÉ Television went live to the Point Depot as part of its New Year’s Eve programme.

‘End of a Decade’ presenter Pat Kenny links to the Point Depot just before midnight. On stage Dave Fanning counts down to midnight and introduces U2 to the audience and radio listeners across Europe.

A special thanks to Mauro R. for giving me this recording.

I think this would be the complete set for that day had "Great Leap Forward" been broadcast. As you can see i have removed everything but the live music and split it all into separate tracks as i think we would all like to listen to it this way! No cues or anything like that but i have scanned the 2 CDs for any info you might need.

Taped & Uploaded By "Hugin33"

Notes by ldb:
the excellent version from Hugin33 had "Someone, Somewhere (In Summertime)" missing. I retrieved it from last night's broadcast on italian radio

Track 11 from RAI broadcast on December 28, 2015 with the following lineage:

RAI Radio Uno > Onkyo TX-8511 FM tuner > HD > Sound Forge 7.0 > CD Wave Editor > FLAC Frontend (level 6)

you won't hear the difference between the two sources unless you know it. I could insert smoothly the missing song in the correct setlist order. Now you have the complete show from start to finish. I could not use the italian broadcast for the full show because the DJs spoke a lot during the songs, but at least I could extract one track and eliminate the talks.
