I recall listening to this broadcast while driving in Southern New Jersey. I wished I had been near a tape machine, as it was a terrific interview. After searching for fifteen years, I finally obtained a copy, through fellow LLR member (and great guy) Sean Smith. As I understand it, Sean received a copy of this show some time ago, so it appears exact lineage is uncertain. However, it sounds very close to the master.
I have a plethora of Who-related interviews. This one is perhaps the most insightful interview with Pete I've ever heard. He sounds quite tired much of the time, but it's truly a rewarding listening experience. Note that only Now And Then is a complete version (though Pinball & Action are close); the others are quick snippets used to demonstrate songwriting. Hope everyone enjoys hearing this, and many thanks again to Sean!
